Electrical Burn Injuries

Electrical injuries (EI) are a common yet underappreciated injury in the work-field. More importantly, the short-term and long-term sequelae of an EI can be devastating. This chapter discusses the classification, assessment, initial treatments, acute and long-term treatments of EI. An important aspect that is currently under-recognized is long-term outcomes and the inability to return to work or even return to a good quality of life.
