DNA Chemical Instability
Abstract
Abstract DNA is a relatively unstable molecule that undergoes hydrolytic, oxidative and nonenzymatic degradation. Its instability places limitations on its survival in the geosphere yet enables its rapid repair and turnover in our cells.
