Glaciomarine model for upper Precambrian diamictites of the Port Askaig Formation, Scotland
Abstract
Descriptive techniques (lithofacies codes) and vertical profile analysis emphasizing lithofacies contacts and geometry allow objective characterization and comparison of diamict(ite) sequences irrespective of geologic age.
