Inference for a Simple Step-Stress Model with Type-II Censoring, and Weibull Distributed Lifetimes

The simple step-stress model under Type-II censoring based on Weibull lifetimes, which provides a more flexible model than the exponential model, is considered in this paper. For this model, the maximum likelihood estimates (MLE) of its parameters, as well as the corresponding observed Fisher Information Matrix, are derived.
