Evidence of a central pattern generator regulating spermathecal muscle activity in Locusta migratoria and its coordination with oviposition

Abstract

Electrophysiological recordings were conducted to determine the control of spermathecal contractions during oviposition of interrupted egg-laying locusts, Locusta migratoria.
