Abstract

It has been suggested that the deep-sea gorgonian coral Primnoa resedaeformis may be an important paleoceanographic archive. Seventeen colonies collected from the upper slope of the NW Atlantic margin (229 – 447 m) were analyzed to see if skeletal Mg/Ca is related to temperature.
