Functional Screening of Pharmacological Chaperones via Restoration of Enzyme Activity upon Denaturation
Abstract
Pharmacological chaperones (PCs) are small molecules that stabilize and promote protein folding. Enzyme inhibition is widely used for PC selection; however, it does not accurately reflect chaperone activity.
