Model analysis of the effect of elementary degrees of freedom in the S13 nucleon-nucleon system
Abstract
Using a modified Lee model for the nucleon-nucleon interaction we show the equivalence of this model to an interaction based on the quark compound bag model recently proposed by Bhasin and Gupta. It is found that their choice of the sign of the parameter coupling the hadronic to quark degrees of freedom leads to unphysical results. By investigating the model with the correct sign and more general form factors, we observe that elementary degrees …
