Sex-Linked Mammalian Sperm Proteins Evolve Faster Than Autosomal Ones
Abstract
X-linked genes can evolve slower or faster depending on whether most recessive, or at least partially recessive alleles are deleterious or beneficial due to their hemizygous expression in males.
