Uranium-series ages of speleothem from northwest England: correlation with Quaternary climate
Abstract
Abstract Over 180 230Th/234U ages have been obtained for 87 speleothems from caves in the Craven district of northwest England. Periods of abundant speleothem growth, 0-13, 90-135 and 170 to > 350 ka, are correlated with interglacial isotope stages 1, 5 and 7-9 respectively.
