Advances in ultrahigh-energy resolution EELS: phonons, infrared plasmons and strongly coupled modes

Nowadays, sub-50 meV atom-wide electron probes are routinely produced for electron energy loss spectroscopy in transmission electron microscopes due to monochromator technology advances.
