In the United States supratherapeutic INRs are typically reversed with fresh frozen plasma (FFP). This requires transfusion of large volumes (10–15 ml/kg) with therapeutic delay, volume overload, risk for TRALI (transfusion related acute lung injury) and multiple donor exposures.
