Magnetic Resonance Angiography

Abstract

Abstract The “flow compensation” of moving spins is necessary to visualize blood in MR imaging. This unit discusses the effects of blood flow in detail, particularly in regard to obtaining an accurate measurement of the blood vessel lumen (the interior dimensions of the vessel). The imaging of blood vessels (arteries and veins) is often referred to as magnetic resonance angiography (MRA).
