Abstract

PurposeRemote ischemic conditioning (RIC) is a maneuver involving brief cycles of ischemia reperfusion in an individual’s limb. In the early stage of experimental NEC, RIC decreased intestinal injury and prolonged survival by counteracting the derangements in intestinal microcirculation.
