Annular jets—II Gas absorption
Abstract
A theoretical equation has been derived for the rate of liquid phase-controlled gas absorption by an annular jet. It has been confirmed by measurements of the absorption rate of CO2 in annular jets of water.The annular jet has also been used to determine molecular diffusivities of sparingly soluble gases (O2, H2, N2, He, A, C2H6, C2H4) in water.
