Extrapulmonary effects of inhaled corticosteroids

Abstract

Dr. O’Byrne: Are the effects of inhaled glucocorticoids on adrenal suppression measured at steady state at 5 days the same when measured at steady state at 6 months or less? Dr. Derendorf: Unfortunately, detailed long-term studies that have looked at 24-hour serum cortisol after 6 months of treatment are not available.
