KINETICS OF MAGNESIUM VAPOR DISSOLUTION INTO PIG IRON.
Abstract
It is shown that rates of magnesium dissolution in molten iron are apparently consistent with those of fairly large bubbles (at least 2. 5 cm equivalent diameter) rising through the bath. They dissolve so rapidly and are so well-spaced that they can be treated as single bubbles.
