Variations of MOE and MOR in loblolly pine wood
Abstract
Among the 10 years old wood of loblolly pine from 28 clones, MOE(modulus of elasticity) and MOR (modulus of rapture) had notably differences respectively at0.001 and 0.01 levels. The individual variations of MOE and MOR in a clone were mostly higher than those among the clones, which showed that the effect of genetic improvement of plantation loblolly wood properties could be better on the individuals in a clone.
