Abstract
1. alpha 1-Adrenoceptors have been classified pharmacologically into four subtypes (alpha 1A, alpha 1B, alpha 1C and alpha 1D) on the basis of their differential affinity for novel antagonists such as chloroethylclonidine (CEC).
