PRESSURE LOSSES THROUGH OBSTRUCTION IN BOTH HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL BUBBLY FLOWS.

Abstract

Two-phase pressure drops in both adiabatic vertical and horizontal bubbly flows have been determined in the presence of flow blockages. The pressure drops due to friction and obstruction have been determined based on pressure data obtained with a Meriam 33KB35 multi-tube well-type manometer. The results indicated that the local pressure drop due to obstruction is affected by both the size and the location of the blockage.
