Abstract

A physically-based model for static recrystallization in alloy AZ31 is presented. The model predicts the kinetics of recrystallization as a function of the applied strain and the annealing temperature. A key feature of the model is the incorporation of the effects of recovery and solute drag on the recrystallization kinetics.
