Active and Passive Control of a Dual Rotor Wind Turbine Generator for DC Grids
Abstract
This paper proposes a vector and a linear control strategy for wind turbines connecting to a DC collector grid. Two conversion schemes are considered for the wind turbine, (i) an active scheme where a dual rotor generator (DRG) is connected to a voltage source converter (VSC), and (ii) a passive scheme where a DRG is connected to a passive uncontrolled rectifier.
