X-ray emission studies of some REGaO3 single crystals
Abstract
Measurements were made on some X-ray emission spectra of gallium and rare earths in LaGaO3, PrGaO3 and NdGaO3. The single crystals investigated were grown from high temperature solutions by slow cooling. A weak overlap of 5d electrons of lanthanum with 2p electrons of oxygen was confirmed in LaGaO3, similar to the situation for an La2 − xSrxCuO4 superconducting material and BaLaGa3O7.
