Optimal Design and Operation of Flexible Polygeneration Systems using Decomposition Algorithms

Abstract

A flexible design solution for a polygeneration system that utilizes a hybrid waste tire and natural gas feedstock to produce a mix of electricity, fuels and chemicals is presented. The optimal design and operation under uncertainty problem is formulated as a scenario-based two-stage stochastic MINLP.
