Gender disparities in high‐risk angioplasty: Still room for improvement

Abstract

Key Points The use of complex medical interventions is frequently underutilized in females. Female patients undergoing high‐risk angioplasty with ventricular support represent a higher risk subgroup but experienced similar clinical events. Although promising, these findings still suggest room for improvement in gender disparities related to advanced medical interventions utilization.
