Standing-wave model based on modes of cold cavity for simulation of laser diodes

Abstract

A standing-wave model based on mode expansion of "cold" cavities is proposed and presented for simulation of laser diodes. The model is validated against the well-established traveling-wave model and shown to be more efficient. © 2007 Optical Society of America.
