Monte carlo simulation of spatially resolved stead-state diffuse reflectance in intralumenal geometry

Abstract

Monte Carlo simulations were used to investigate the steady-state diffuse reflectance from tissue in an intralumenal geometry. The simulation results were compared to Monte Carlo data for at surface semi-infinite geometries. A significant divergence from at geometry reflectance was found for intralumenal geometry due to surface curvature and multiple reflections. © OSA/BIOMED/DH 2010.
