High single-mode-yield 1.3-μm gain-coupled DFB lasers with truncated QWs: Comprehensive comparison between theory and experiment

Abstract

A systematic comparison between theory and experiment for 1.3-μm truncated gain-coupled distributed feedback (GC DFB) lasers is presented. Experimental correlation among laser properties is compared, which agrees well with theoretical predictions under the influence of random laser facet phase.
