The effectiveness of the head-turn-plus-chin-down maneuver for eliminating vallecular residue
Abstract
Purpose When swallowing efficiency is impaired, residue accumulates in the pharynx. Cued or spontaneous swallows in the head neutral position do not always successfully clear residue.
