FRP rehabilitation of façades in a Toronto district school board facility

Abstract

The use of externally bonded glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) reinforcement to repair deteriorated precast concrete mullion units in an 80 year old school building for the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is presented. GFRP flexible sheets were applied longitudinally for flexural enhancement and were applied transversely around the whole cross-section of each mullion for confinement.
