New optimal therapies for seasonal allergic conjunctivitis: Addressing the entire inflammatory response of allergen exposure
Abstract
Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis can be safely managed with effective topical agents. Antihistamines (such as Livostin) have a rapid onset, but a short duration of action. Mast cell stabilizers (such as Opticrom) have a longer duration of action, but can take up to four weeks to demonstrate efficacy.
