Abstract

Thiazolidinediones (TZDs) are a class of antihyperglycemic agents commonly used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is accepted that through activation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) gamma, TZDs have an effect on bone metabolism.
