Dipyridamole reduced myocardial platelet and leukocyte deposition following ischemia and cardioplegia

Abstract

Urgent coronary revascularization for acute myocardial ischemia results in an increased mortality and morbidity. Deposition of activated platelets and leukocytes into the ischemic myocardium during reperfusion may augment perioperative ischemic injury.
