Asymptomatic abdominal mass in a child

Abstract

A 20-month-old boy was noted to have an abdominal mass while being bathed by his father. There were no symptoms related to the mass and no past medical history of note, although the grandmother had commented on several occasions since his birth that the child was unusually “pot-bellied”.
