Abstract
In 1991 the following therapeutic advances are of particular interest: - the positive effecet of psychotherapy on symptoms of irritable colon; - the effect of fluticasone a local acting steroid, in the treatment of coeliakie; - the sulindac, a non-steroidal-antiinflammatory drug, has an inhibitory effect on the growth of rectal adenomatous polyps in familial polyposis.
