Distribution and localization of gold in Meguma Group rocks, Nova Scotia. Part 2: implications of background geochemistry and cleavage development - a preliminary report.

Abstract

Au and As were determined by NAA in unmineralized rocks of the Meguma group. Averages for 22 greywackes are Au 1.19 ppb and As 2.30 ppm; for 38 slates, Au 1.72 ppb and As 2.54 ppm. Cleavage development in greywacke resulted in redistribution of Au and As, which increase in the cleavage domain. (Preceding abstract)-T.F.
