The component operational experience, degradation and ageing programme (CODAP) project; Canada's contributions and benefits to the Canadian industry

This paper presents an overview of the Component Operational Experience, Degradation and Ageing Programme (CODAP) project, an international collaborative research project sponsored by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Nuclear Energy Agency (OECD/NEA). Canada's role in the CODAP project is expanded on, with emphasis on Canada's contributions and how they compare to the participation of other CODAP member countries. The applications and uses of the CODAP database are briefly explained and the benefits of active participation to the nuclear industry through this international project are discussed.
