COMPUTER SIMULATION OF TV SIGNAL RECEPTION UNDER NOISY CONDITIONS.

Abstract

Computer simulations have been carried out to simulate the transmission of a color TV signal and to investigate the reception of the signal under various types of noise at different power levels. The susceptibility of the various components of the television signal was observed and the signal to noise ratio calculated. It was found that, in general, the blue gun yields the poorest S/N ratio while the green gun yields the best. These S/N ratios have also been found to be very much dependent on the type of input noise.
