A New 7-Level Voltage Source Converter for Medium-Voltage Application
Abstract
In this paper, a new seven-level Voltage Source Converter (VSC) is proposed for medium-voltage (MV) applications. The new configuration is compared to other seven-level converter topologies. The proposed converter has fewer number of components compared to existing seven-level topologies. All switches have the same voltage rating.
