Nonlinear micromechanical Casimir oscillator
Abstract
The effect of Casimir force on the dynamic properties of a nonlinear micromechanical oscillator was studied. The Casimir force occurs between uncharged metallic surfaces due to quantum-mechanical zero-point fluctuations of electromagnetic field.
