Applications of remote sensing for inland water quality

Abstract

Bio-optical models in recent years were summarily introduced. Principle and major methods of atmospheric correction were summarized and assessed. Quantification of suspended sediments, chlorophyll and dissolved organics by remote sensing were evaluated extensively and separately as well as their spectral features. Validation of model results is also discussed briefly. Though many regressed algorithms have been presented with good results, they are mostly site-specific and really multi-temporal and multi-spatial model, for inland water quality parameters are still unavailable.
