During a survey of endophytic fungi in plant roots in secondary forests in Yunnan, China, a novel ascomyceteous taxon, Beltrania sinensis, was isolated from Quercus cocciferoides Hand.-Mazz. and Fraxinus malacophylla Hemsl.
