Abstract
This paper proposes a simplified convex optimization-based sensorless scheme for interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM)drives. The computational burden of the existing convex optimization-based method is significantly reduced by a single variable cost function, which is based on the machine voltage equations in the stationary reference frame.
