Low Power Parametric Wave-Mixing in a Zero Dispersive CMOS Compatible Micro-Ring Resonator

Abstract

We report ultra low power four-wave mixing in a zero-dispersive and two-photon adsorption free micro-ring resonator. A nonlinear wavelength conversion with an internal efficiency as high as −26dB has been experimentally achieved over a tuning range of 18nm. The theoretical model predicts a phase-matching range larger than 100nm.
