A note on grain size dependent pinning

Abstract

A rigorous approach to grain size dependent pinning is proposed by accounting for special grain boundary locations such as quadruple points. Using this approach abnormal grain growth is rationalized for a high strength low alloy (HSLA) steel with a stable particle size distribution.
