Morphological and immunohistochemical identification of neurons and their targets in the guinea-pig duodenum

Abstract

Nerve circuits within the proximal duodenum were investigated using a combination of immunohistochemistry for individual neuron markers and lesion of intrinsic nerve pathways to determine axon projections.
