Change of cell growth and mitochondrial membrane polarization in the progeny of cells surviving low-dose high-LET irradiation from Ra-226

Abstract

In order to test the delayed effect of radiation on the progeny of irradiated survivors, the human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT and the fish common bluegill embryonic cell line CHSE/F were exposed to low-dose high-LET α-radiation from Ra-226 or γ-rays.
