On the Concept of the Multi-Source Inverter

Abstract

This paper presents an inverter topology, which aims to connect several DC sources to the same AC output using a single stage of conversion. This topology has been given the name of multi-source inverter. This concept has been developed for applications such as hybrid electric powertrains.
