Corrosion of UNS N06625 Nozzles in a Biomass Fluidized Bed Boiler

Abstract

This study evaluated the corrosion resistance of cast vs wrought UNS N06625 nozzles for a fluidized bed boiler. Data indicate that nozzles made from cast UNS N06625 are not as corrosion-resistant as those fabricated from the wrought alloy; however, they are significantly more corrosion-resistant than those fabricated from type 310H stainless steel (UNS S31009).
