Fabrication of high quality UV-written fiber bragg gratings
Abstract
In conclusion, we have reported that 98.5 % peak power reflectivity fiber Bragg gratings were fabricated in the core of B/Ge co-doped optical fiber using 248 nm KrF excimer laser pulses to irradiate a phase mask. The fiber gratings fabricated by the method described above have negligible sideband and good wavelength selectivity.
